A New Era of Elegance

The Residences at St. Regis Resort Longboat Key are shaping up to be a paradigm of luxury and elegance. Nestled in the heart of Florida's Gulf Coast, this project promises to offer an unparalleled living experience, combining modern amenities with breathtaking natural beauty.

As I walked through the construction site recently, the vision of what's to come was striking. The blend of sophisticated design, attention to detail, and the serene backdrop of Longboat Key's pristine beaches is truly a sight to behold.

The construction of the Residences is proceeding smoothly, with each phase unfolding new aspects of what future residents can expect. From state-of-the-art facilities to opulent finishes, every element is being crafted with the utmost care and precision.

Video Transcript:

Welcome to another edition of Exploring Paradise, your guide to Florida's West Coast. My name is Mike Renick. I am your host for this series of videos.

It has been a while since we talked about St. Regis.  I thought we would take some time, and we do an update.  You will be able to see the video behind me.  We are going to get some "B" roll so you can see more of what is going on right now.

So, the construction of the "Residents at Regis Resort Longboat Key" is what the name is. It is progressing smoothly.  It remains on schedule for the currently planned opening of Mid-summer 2024.  Let us talk about some recent highlights and milestones they have gotten here.

So, this is January'24, significant progress has been made on the construction site.  If you see the video behind me, masonry and roof work are proceeding on the hotel side of the property.  Now the hotel side is the north side of the island, which is over my right shoulder.  I do not think the camera is going to turn it backwards.

So go over the right side of my shoulder. You can see where the hotel is.  The condominiums are going to be on the left side.  There are three condominium buildings.  So, one of the condominium buildings has reached its final height and work on the two adjoining buildings are ongoing right now.  As I previously shared, the project includes a five-story hotel, three five story condominium buildings, and a single floor amenity building, which you can see in the center here.

So, let us touch upon some of the features this is going have when it opens.  The condo complex will feature69 units in the, like I said, the three five story buildings.  There will be parking garages at the ground level.  The 166-room hotel will be located as I said on the north end over my right shoulder will include two restaurants, a beach grill, three bars, a ballroom, large enough for 425 guests, six meeting rooms and two boardrooms.  So, there will be a lot of facilities here when these opens.

Let us talk about the construction logistics.  Around 500 workers are involved in the construction at this point.  They use the shuttle system from Sarasota to transport them out to the work site on a daily basis and then back down at the end of the day.  This kind of arrangement helps to manage traffic congestion in the area and for lack of current parking on the construction site.

I'm told the construction team is in regular contact with the neighbors, keeping them informed about the project's progress as we move forward.  So far, community complaints regarding the construction have been minimal, which is a good news story for us.  The project is slightly ahead of schedule right now.  The date that they plan to open is July.  This marks a significant milestone as it represents one of the largest construction projects in the region since the 1970's.

The project represents an$800 million investment, making it a huge development in terms of scale and economic impact to the Island of Longboat key.  The development is expected to be a notable addition to Longboat key offering luxury accommodations and amenities, while also contributing to the local economy.  So, this is a big thing here.

Progress is going well when you drive across the Gulf of Mexico Drive it, it is not as pleasant, if you would, as we see here on the Gulf side.   It is amazing here.  This is going to be a fantastic development.

Just a little bit of history back when the colony was here, the Colony Tennis resort.  This is a place where President Bush spent the night before 911.  He woke up on this parcel of land right here the morning of 911, and it was in Sarasota at Booker Elementary where that famous video of him talking or him reading to the elementary kids.

This is my update. More to follow if you have any questions, again, my name is Mike Renick.  My personal, my direct cell is 941-400-8735.I look forward to talking with you.

Take care.
