Welcome to the Seaplace community blog! Today, we are excited to share the story of Ray Strothman, a key member of our Seaplace community and board. Ray’s journey from Louisville, Kentucky, to the sun-kissed shores of Longboat Key, Florida, is a testament to the magnetic allure of our beautiful state.

Ray's roots are deeply planted in Louisville, where he grew up in Germantown and pursued a career in accountancy. His professional journey led him to Ernst & Young and later to founding his own firm, Strothman & Company. However, it was his love for the beach and a serendipitous opportunity presented by a client that brought Ray and his wife, Caroline, to Seaplace.

In 2005, Ray made the bold decision to invest in Seaplace sight unseen, trusting his friends and the promise of paradise. Upon arriving, Ray and Caroline were enchanted by the community's charm, the pristine beaches, and the welcoming atmosphere. Over the years, they've become integral members of Seaplace, with Ray even serving on the board, contributing to the community's growth and prosperity.
